Wintering Inside the Womb

As December draws its cloak of darkness around us, Capricorn season offers sacred stillness, while Mercury Retrograde carves time for reflection and remembrance. This is deep midwinter magic — the cave of the Crone — where ambition softens and presence sharpens.
This month, the stars whisper:
🌒 “Sit down, sister.”
🌑 “You’ve done enough.”
🌘 “It’s time to let the Earth hold you now.”
You don't have to keep spinning spells for everyone else. Let the silence wrap you in her cloak. Let your body sigh open.
🖤 Personal Story: The Winter I Finally Received
This was the winter I stopped performing as the strong one.
The winter I had surgery and couldn't keep up the mask.
I had no choice but to let go. I was physically unable to give — I could only receive.
And receiving brought up guilt like I’d never known.
Who was I to need so much help?
Who was I to ask, to lean, to admit I couldn't even do my own laundry?
But I did.
And when I let the people I trusted see the messy parts — the swollen, stitched-up, bedridden parts — they didn’t turn away.
They turned toward me.
The hands I had used to hold others were now held.
And in that tender reversal, I healed not only my body, but a story I had carried since childhood:

That love must be earned through effort.
That worth is measured in output.
That strength is stoicism.
Not anymore.
That winter, I transmuted guilt into gratitude.
I saw that receiving isn’t weakness — it’s intimacy.
And I whispered thank you's into every warm cup of tea, every folded blanket, every offer of help.
🍵 Herbal Allies for Dreamy December
This month’s plant allies are your soft, slow shadow-tenders. They curl around your belly like blankets and kiss your nervous system like a lover.
🍄 Reishi — The Forest Witch’s familiar. She bridges realms, shields the spirit, and helps you digest not just food… but feelings.
🌿 Ashwagandha — Rooty, earthy, and grounding. She whispers: “You don’t have to do it all. Lay down.”
🌼 Chamomile — The pocket-sized priestess who charms tense guts and tantruming inner children alike. Sip her when you’re emotionally raw.
🍫 Cacao — A heart-opening oracle. Stir her with cinnamon and cayenne to awaken your inner fire and gratitude.
Invite them into your days like old friends. Not to fix you — but to fortify your softness.
🌑 Ritual: Gratitude in the Dark
Winter is the womb of the year. A portal of rest. A cauldron of unseen alchemy.
This ritual is your invitation to meet yourself not in action, but in reception.
It’s an energetic exhale. A whispered thank you to your past self. A warm breath into the sacred pause.

✨ Somatic Spell: Receive Me
🕯️ Light one small candle.
🛏️ Lie down on the floor or bed with one hand on your heart, one on your womb.
🫀 Feel the pulse of your own body.
🗣️ Speak aloud 5 things you've received this year — not achievements, but blessings. Gifts. Support. Rest.
🌬️ Whisper this:
“I am worthy of care.
I am allowed to receive.
I do not have to earn love.”
Let your belly rise and fall. Let the tears, sighs, or stillness come.
This is sacred.
This is spellwork.
🔮 Closing Invitation:
If your belly’s been bubbling with mystery, your boundaries are fraying, or your energy’s on the floor… you may need to meet your Gut Gremlin.
